Serving the Bay Roberts area since 1985

Atkinson Flowers was established in Bay Roberts in September 1985 by Hugh & Jane Atkinson filling a void left when Mrs Patricia Dawson closed her flower shop in 1984. Jane was tutored in the beginning by Mrs Dawson and several experienced florists in retail shops in St John's. Starting in January 1985, Jane and and her staff were trained by the Flowers Canada / University of Guelph program (under Nancy Murray) and the Agricultural College in Truro, NS. Jane attended the University of Guelph for their floristry program and keeps up to date by online seminars and through attending industry seminars through out Canada. Certificates Jane has earned.include - Professional Floral Design and Basic National Accreditation. Jane and her staff have experience in traditional and contemporary floral design and have done many thousands of arrangements since 1985 for Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, funerals (we're recommended by the area's Funeral Directors) and of course the various special seasons through the year.
