Established in Bay Roberts in 1985 by Hugh & Jane Atkinson, Atkinson Flowers filled a void left when Mrs Patricia Dawson closed her flower shop in 1984. Jane and her staff were tutored by Mrs Dawson and several experienced florists in retail shops in St John's. Starting during the winter of 1985-6, Jane and and her staff were trained by the Flowers Canada / University of Guelph program (under Nancy Murray), the Agricultural College in Truro, NS and now keep up to date by online seminars and through attending industry seminars through out Canada.
Certificates earned.include - Professional Floral Design and Basic National Accreditation.
We carry the largest selection of fresh flowers in the Conception Bay North area. We are known locally as having quality, fresh flowers that last much longer than usual and we back up our service with a 7 DAY GUARANTEE on almost all flowers we sell.
Jane and her staff have experience in traditional and contemporary floral design and have done many thousands of arrangements since 1985 for Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, funerals (we're recommended by the area's Funeral Directors) and of course the various special seasons through the year.
